Refund Policy
Your money, plainly: when it comes back, how, and how fast.
Last updated: October 18, 2026
The short version
If your Founding bid doesn't make the top 1,000, you get every cent back, or keep it as membership if you prefer. If we take a payment we shouldn't have, we send it back without you asking. Monthly plans can be cancelled any time and are not charged again.
Founding 1000 bids
How each situation is handled:
- Outside the top 1,000 at close: choose a full refund, or keep your payment as membership credit (one month per $20, plus 1 bonus month). You have 14 days to choose from the link in your email. No choice means a full refund, sent automatically.
- Inside the top 1,000: your bid becomes a lifetime membership and is final.
- During bidding: paid bids cannot be withdrawn, so the ranking stays honest. You can still raise.
- Paid after the close: refunded in full, automatically.
- A second bid with a card already used by someone else's bid: refunded in full, automatically.
- Already a lifetime member: any further membership payment is refunded in full, automatically.
- If Founding 1000 ever has to end early: every bid is refunded in full.
Monthly membership
Cancel any time. You keep access until the end of the month you have paid for and are not charged again. We don't refund part months.
Charged by mistake, charged twice, or charged after you cancelled? Email us and we refund it in full.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Stripe, for the full amount you paid in US dollars. Most banks show them within 5 to 10 business days. If your bank converted the currency, the amount you see may differ slightly because of exchange rates, which we don't control.
We email you when a refund is sent.
Disputes and chargebacks
Please email us before disputing a charge with your bank: we can usually fix it the same day. A disputed payment is taken off its Founding bid, or ends the monthly plan it paid for, while the dispute is open.
Your legal rights
This policy adds to the rights you have under the consumer law where you live. It never takes them away.
