What you get when you pay for MindsNet, how Founding 1000 works, and what happens to your money. Written to be read, not skimmed past.

About these terms
These terms cover paying for MindsNet: the monthly membership and Founding 1000. They sit alongside the rules for using MindsNet itself and our Privacy Policy. By paying, you agree to them.
In these terms, "MindsNet", "we" and "us" mean the team that runs mindsnet.org and its apps. "You" means the person paying. Questions go to hello@mindsnet.org.
What membership includes
A membership gives one MindsNet account access to every MindsNet app we offer to members, including apps we launch later. Some features may stay free for everyone; membership never takes away something that was free when you joined.
Membership is personal. One membership covers one person and one account. It cannot be shared, resold or transferred.
The monthly plan
The monthly plan costs $20 a month, charged in advance on the same day each month through Stripe until you cancel.
You can cancel any time. Your access continues until the end of the month you have paid for, and you are not charged again. We do not refund part months.
If we change the monthly price, we will email you at least 30 days before your next charge at the new price, and you can cancel before it applies.
Founding 1000: the official rules
Founding 1000 offers 1,000 lifetime memberships, awarded to the 1,000 highest paid bids when bidding closes. These rules decide every bid.
- Window: bidding opens November 1, 2026 at 5:00 PM UTC and closes December 31, 2026 at 5:00 PM UTC, unless the membership page shows other dates before bidding opens. There is one window. It will not be extended and will not run again.
- Who can bid: anyone aged 18 or over (or the age of majority where you live) with an email address and a payment card in their own name. One bid per person. A person may not bid through more than one email or card.
- Amount: every bid is in whole US dollars, at least $50 and at most $10,000 online. For more, contact us before bidding.
- Paying: you pay the full amount of your bid when you place it. Only bids that have been paid in full count. You pay what you bid.
- Raising: you can raise your bid at any time before the close by at least $1, paying only the difference. A raised bid counts from the moment of the raise.
- No lowering or withdrawing: once paid, a bid cannot be lowered or withdrawn before the close. This keeps the ranking honest for everyone.
- Ranking: bids rank by amount, highest first. If two bids are equal, the one that reached that amount first ranks higher. At the close, the top 1,000 win.
- Access: every MindsNet app opens to you once your bid is paid and stays open while bidding is open, whether or not you finish in the top 1,000.
- Winners: a winning bid becomes a lifetime membership at the price you bid. Founder numbers from #1 to #1,000 follow the ranking: the highest bid is #1. If you were paying monthly, that plan ends and is not charged again.
- Bids outside the top 1,000: you choose to keep your full payment as membership credit (one month for every $20, plus 1 bonus month) or to have it refunded in full. You have 14 days from the close to choose. If you don't choose, we refund you in full.
- Fewer bids than spots: if fewer than 1,000 paid bids are made, every paid bid wins. Unclaimed spots are not sold later.
- Late payments: a payment completed after the close does not count and is refunded in full.
- Fair play: we may cancel and fully refund a bid that breaks these rules, for example several bids by one person, a card used without its owner's permission, or a bid made to manipulate the ranking. A disputed or reversed payment removes the amount from the bid.
- If we stop Founding 1000 early: if we ever have to end Founding 1000 before the close for reasons outside our control, every bid is refunded in full and no winners are chosen.
What lifetime means
A lifetime membership lasts for as long as MindsNet operates its apps. You will never be charged for it again, including when we add new apps.
It belongs to you and your account and cannot be transferred. We may end it only if you seriously or repeatedly break the rules for using MindsNet, and we will tell you why.
Your right to cancel
In some countries, including the UK and the EU, consumers can normally cancel an online purchase within 14 days. Because membership gives you access straight away, at checkout you ask for access to start immediately and agree that this ends that 14-day right once access begins. Founding bids are also final once paid, as set out above.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer law where you live.
Payments, currency and tax
Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars; your bank may convert them and may charge a fee for doing so. Any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live is shown at checkout.
Receipts and your private member link are sent to the email you pay with. Keep the link private: anyone who has it can see and manage your membership. You can ask for a new one at any time.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as MindsNet grows. The Founding 1000 rules will not change in any way that hurts bidders once bidding has opened. For other changes we will update the date below and, where the change matters to you, email you.
