Privacy and safety
Privacy, safety, and account controls
Manage your public identity, sessions, shared data, and account lifecycle.
Applies to the current MindsNet experience
Know what is public
Your username and information shown on your public profile can be seen by other people. Contributions inherit the visibility shown in their creation or sharing flow. Your email is used for account functions and is not intended to appear publicly.
Protect your account
- Use a unique password and keep your email account secure.
- Never give anyone a login token, reset link, or verification code.
- Sign out on shared devices.
- Review connected apps and authorizations before approving them.
- Treat unexpected requests to move money or reveal sensitive data as suspicious.
Correct or remove data
Use Profile and account settings for available edits, password actions, and account deletion. Removing an account is materially different from hiding a contribution and may not be reversible. Read the confirmation carefully.
Keep in mind: Privacy questions can be sent to privacy@mindsnet.org. Include the account username and the type of request, but never send your password.
